LPC Supervision

Provided by Cynthia Kay, PHD, LPC-S, MAC

I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: . . . You who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.
--Albert Schweitzer

Supervision consists of discussing specific questions about clients we serve, applying various theoretical and philosophical perspectives and utilizing interventions from an integrative range of treatment modalities. Some examples include positive psychotherapy, person-centered therapy, mindfulness practices, existential therapy, couples counseling, motivational interviewing, substance use counseling, strategic family therapy, multicultural therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. We will work to increase counseling skills in those and other areas that may be helpful to current work and future professional goals.

Brighter & Brighter, PLLC offers supervision for LPC-Interns, LPCs who are new to the field or seeking to grow professionally, and for masters-level practicum students. Obtaining your supervision with Brighter & Brighter will allow you to gain knowledge to practice in various therapeutic settings, including community mental health, residential and supportive housing, hospital and educational settings. Further, you can gain firsthand knowledge of how to provide services in a private practice.
